The faculties of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the School of International and Public Affairs offer graduate students the opportunity to study a wide range of topics related to Europe rigorously and in depth. While courses vary widely in focus—from national history to post-colonial literary studies—they all provide students with strong methodological training in their chosen discipline. This semester’s courses are listed below. Please contact the department or registrar for further information. The European Institute is part of a West European consortium with New York University’s Center for European and Mediterranean Studies (CEMS), that is partially funded by the US Department of Education. Columbia graduate students can register for classes at CEMS, and a graduate course listing can be found here. |
