For undergraduate students interested in Europe, Columbia offers a wide range of courses each semester. Departments from Anthropology to the Institute for Research on Women and Gender offer students the opportunity to study the histories, politics, cultures, and economics of people throughout Europe. Some courses conduct in-depth studies of individual nations, while some focus on regional or global issues. Some are organized around other frameworks, but rely on the works of important European individuals. This semester’s courses are listed below, and may be used to fulfill major requirements or serve as electives. Please contact the department or registrar for further information. |
